The Columbus Young Professionals Club
About the CYP CLUB
The Columbus Young Professionals Club (CYP CLUB) is a "for-impact" membership organization made up of young professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, creative thinkers, and social people who live & work in the greater Columbus, OH area. Founded in July of 2005, the CYP CLUB offers events, athletics, and volunteer activities on a weekly basis for a growing membership of local YPs (ages 21-45). Basic Membership is FREE and Premium Membership is only $50/year.
At its heart, the CYP CLUB is about providing local career-minded young adults with opportunities to connect with each other and the opportunities throughout the Columbus area. We promote career and business networking, social interaction, community service, local culture, and athletic participation.
The CYP CLUB hosts a variety of events: some free, some with a fee to enter. This allows our members the flexibility to attend our events and activities based on their schedule, their preference, and their wallet. And we consistently encourage members to try something new through our various social and professional programs!

About Our Members
CYP CLUB members are young, educated and active. Almost half of our members are between the ages of 25-29, and roughly a third are between the ages of 30-34. Ninety-two percent of members hold a bachelor's degree or higher. Every Ivy League college is represented, as well as all colleges in the Big Ten and all universities in the state of Ohio.
To be considered a member, the CYP CLUB requires a membership application to be filled out on our website so that we can verify job, location, contact information, and other demographic information. (We don't just add e-mail addresses to a mailing list.) This process is vital to knowing who our members are and what they want to get out of their membership.
Members work in varied industries, representing every company on the Top 100 largest employers in Columbus list, 14 of the 27 Ohio-based Fortune 500 companies, and 26 of the 61 Ohio-based Fortune 1000 companies. They live all across the greater Columbus area, concentrating mainly on downtown (47%) and surrounding suburbs (32%) as well as outside I-270 and Franklin County (21%).
Events. Athletics. Impact.
The CYP CLUB develops and hosts more than 150 unique events each year for our members, in addition to offering ongoing volunteer opportunities and promotional assistance with large-scale community events.
The CYP CLUB Social Program includes regular events such as the Quarterly Member Mixer, Monthly Member Dinners, and Happy Hours, as well as annual events like A Date 2 Remember, the Old School Game Night, Dogs on the Deck, and the Photo Scavenger Hunt. We also host more intimate group outings, from dance lessons and movie nights to events at the theatre, comedy club, and opera. Our Business Networking and Professional Development Program focuses on monthly Networking Breakfast series, evening networking events, CEO speaker panels, and Speed Networking. And a new Culture Series has aligned our organization with more than two dozen local arts groups to heighten the awareness of the arts among YPs throughout Columbus and provide support from the CYP CLUB to the future culture of our city.
The CYP CLUB also offers members the opportunity to join or field a team through Athletic Leagues and ongoing Tournaments - representing more than a dozen different sports throughout the year - in addition to recreation and travel activities, including the annual CYP CLUB cruise, camping and kayaking, zip-lining, ski trips, Ohio and other regional weekend getaways, and more.
In the time we have existed the CYP CLUB has helped bring in more than $200,000 in charitable donations, raised awareness, and created volunteer opportunities for dozens of local non-profit organizations. Members have been asked to serve on non-profit boards as a result of being actively engaged with the CYP CLUB. And once a year, we host the Volunteer Info Fair - a casual, networking expo event offering attendees a unique opportunity to connect with dozens of local non-profit organizations and their representatives, as we raise awareness of volunteerism among our members and the entire YP community of central Ohio.
