Mayor's Proclamation: "Columbus Young Professionals Club Day"

City of Columbus, Ohio
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Columbus, Ohio has the responsibility to recognize occasions of outstanding significance; and
WHEREAS, the attraction and retention of young professionals is essential to the future competitiveness of the City of Columbus, its businesses and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Columbus Young Professionals (CYP) Club is a community-based organization that provides social, cultural, philanthropic, athletic and career networking opportunities to Columbus area residents aged 21-45; and
WHEREAS, the CYP CLUB, with over 7500 members, is one of the five largest young professionals organizations in the nation and hosts a variety of events and activities that allow its members to attend whatever is best for their interests and schedules;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Michael B. Coleman, Mayor of the City of Columbus Ohio, do hereby proclaim February 4, 2009 as:
Columbus Young Professionals Club Day
in Columbus, and encourage City businesses and civic leadership to support the Columbus Young Professionals Club in its endeavors.
