Three Upcoming Business Networking Events with the CYP CLUB
The CYP CLUB has THREE upcoming Business Networking events that you don't want to miss!

1) Our November Speaker Breakfast (Wednesday, November 4) will welcome Robert Morgan, an attorney at PorterWright, who will be talking about "Social Networking & Internet Law".

2) We'll follow that up with our November Lunch & Learn (Friday, November 6) where the topic will be "Job Search Triathlon" presented by Janice Worthington, founder and president of Worthington Career Services.

3) Third, the CYP CLUB is launching a new business networking series called The "Elevator Networking™" Breakfast. It's a monthly event - always hosted on the THIRD WEDNESDAY of the month, at three rotating venues around Columbus - Home, M/I Homes Marketing and Design Center at Easton Town Center (East), DeVry University - Polaris (North), and TechColumbus (Central).

Volunteer opportunity at the Short North HighBall Halloween
This Saturday, October 31, the Short North Arts District will take one more step toward creating THE Masquerade event of the Midwest... HighBall Halloween. Over ten thousand costume clad participants are expected to converge on the heart of the strip for one of the most eye-popping, wow-factor events in the city, and the CYP CLUB has been asked to help out as volunteers. Volunteer with the CYP CLUB!

There are three shifts available to be a Drink Ticket Booth Volunteer. Volunteers will sell drink tickets for beer and wine to attendees at this event. We need you to be there during your shift handling money and making change. This is the single most important volunteer opportunity for this event!

A Date 2 Remember: Applications to become a date or double date now available
Last year, A Date 2 Remember - the CYP CLUB's annual charity date auction and fashion show - raised over $25,000 with the help of 100 businesses and more than 650 young professionals in attendance. Getting involved with this event is a great opportunity to help make a difference in your community and we are hoping that you will join us.

We are looking for qualified bachelors, bachelorettes AND couples (double dates) to participate in the live date auction and fashion show.

The CYP CLUB is voted "Best Networking Organization" in Central Ohio
For the second year, Columbus C.E.O. magazine asked readers about the things that make Central Ohio's business scene great as part of their "Best of Business 2009 Awards."

The CYP CLUB was named 'Best Networking Organization' by the magazine, stating, "Columbus Young Professionals Club blew the others out of the water."

In addition, the Best Charity Event went to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. "A Date 2 Remember, organized by the Columbus Young Professionals Club, was a close second," the article stated.

CYP CLUB Photo Scavenger Hunt
We recently concluded the CYP CLUB's 4th Annual Photo Scavenger Hunt. This event required teams to take various pictures throughout Columbus. Over the course of four days, teams needed to be creative and strategic in their picture taking and everyone had fun while doing so. The top three teams all received prizes generously donated by sponsors of the 2009 Photo Scavenger Hunt.

The winning teams were:
First Place: Team Stac'd
Second Place: Team Booty Snatchers
Third Place: Team R.E.D. (Real Estate Divas)

SAVE THE DATE: A Date 2 Remember 2010
Saturday, February 13, 2010 will mark the third annual 'A Date 2 Remember' young professional date auction and fashion show for charity, presented by the CYP CLUB, at BoMA (583 E. Broad Street).

Members of the Central Ohio community are invited to "make a date" for this unique event – one that combines a date auction for singles and couples with a fashion show featuring clothing from Columbus-area boutiques and shops. All proceeds raised from the event will benefit TWO local non-profit organizations. Last year more than 600 attended the event, which raised over $25,000 for charity.

The Drambuie Den is back for a third year!
It's a unique and interactive social event hosted by the CYP CLUB for all of our members and friends, where you will enjoy FREE cocktails mixed with Drambuie, FREE hors d’oeuvres served by Mozaik Modern Lounge, great entertainment, and a fun opportunity to mix and mingle with CYP CLUB friends new and old. October Speaker Breakfast to feature Rhett Ricart, CEO of Ricart Automotive
The CYP CLUB Speaker Breakfast series continues with special guest, Rhett Ricart, CEO of Ricart Automotive. Rhett Ricart graduated with a degree in marketing from The Ohio State University in 1978. A lifetime member of the community, Mr. Ricart resides in Columbus and has three children.

The event includes breakfast bagels, pastries, and coffee and costs $5 to attend for CYP CLUB members and guests (pay at the door). Be sure to attend and bring plenty of business cards. RSVP ONLINE.
