Summer Culture Series: Events and Arts Partners Announced!

We recently announced a new initiative to heighten the awareness of the arts and cultural offerings in the city – specifically within the young professional (21-45) community – through a quarterly CYP CLUB Culture Series. Through the CYP CLUB Culture Series, we hope to add more arts and culture programs to our calendar, introduce many young professionals to the arts for the first time, provide a partnership link between the CYP CLUB and the local arts community, and transform our city's young professionals into the arts patrons of the future.

The "first round" of the series has seen an amazing response. Signed on (so far) as arts partners with the CYP CLUB are 17 local organizations: BalletMet (balletmet.org), Opera Columbus (operacolumbus.org), the Columbus Historical Society (columbushistory.org), Available Light Theatre (avltheatre.com), Experience Columbus (experiencecolumbus.com), Wexner Center for the Arts (wexarts.org), CAPA (capa.com/columbus), CATCO (catco.org), The Phoenix Theatre (thephoenixonline.org), The Grandview Hop (thegrandviewhop.com), Columbus Children's Theatre (colschildrenstheatre.org), the Columbus Museum of Art (columbusmuseum.org), Restaurant Week Columbus (restaurantweekcolumbus.com), Jazz and Rib Fest (hotribscooljazz.org), Actor's Theatre of Columbus (theactorstheatre.org), ProMusica Chamber Orchestra (promusicacolumbus.org), and Fred Astaire Dance Studios (fredastaire-columbusnw.com).

July 8 Summer Wine Tasting #1 with the CYP CLUB at Camelot Cellars, 7-9pm.
July 9 Summer Wine Tasting #2 with the CYP CLUB at Camelot Cellars, 7-9pm.
July 10 "Go Wild for Opera!" at the Columbus Zoo, 8pm. Discounted tickets available! Extended happy hour and pre-show meet-up at Digger and Fitch, 6-8pm.
July 13-17 Restaurant Week Columbus. Unique three-course menus from $15-$35 per person all week long.
July16 "Rent" at the Columbus Children's Theatre, 7:30pm. Discounted tickets available! Pre-show meet-up at Callahan's Pub, 6-7:30pm.
July 23 "American Graffiti" Wex Drive-In at the Wexner Center for the Arts, 8pm. CYP CLUB members who pre-register can stop by the Wexner member desk to pick up a free Wex Drive-In mug (normally $3 at the bar).
July 24-26 Volunteer with the CYP CLUB at the Jazz & Rib Fest. And attend the festival for free all weekend long!
July 25 Grandview Hop: Meet-up at the Tent Party (beer for $2, burgers for $3, etc.) and check out the Hop with the CYP CLUB.
July 31 Dublin Irish Festival: Party with the CYP CLUB, 5pm-midnight. Discounted tickets available!
August 1 Picnic with the Pops: "OSU Marching Band" on the grass at the Chemical Abstracts Service lawn, 6pm.
August 7 CAPA Summer Movie Series: "Dirty Dancing" at the Ohio Theatre, 7:30pm. Discounted tickets available!
August 13 Available Light Theatre's "Church" at the Riffe Center Studio Two Theatre, 8pm.
August 29 Grandview Hop: Check out the Hop with the CYP CLUB.
August TBA Shakespeare in the Park: "The Tempest" at Schiller Park in German Village, 8pm.
