CYP CLUB partners with Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce to advance young professionals

As an organization dedicated to growing the overall benefits of the local community, the CYP CLUB (Columbus Young Professionals Club) today announces a new partnership with the Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce.

This partnership will allow the UA Chamber and many of its member businesses to be continually promoted to and engaged with the members of the CYP CLUB (the third largest in the nation and growing). It will also allow the CYP CLUB to outreach and support the various local business members of the UA Chamber while further establishing the CYP CLUB as the go-to organization for area young professionals.

Through a brand new liaison program, the two groups will collaborate to develop a three-pronged approach to professional development and community opportunities in Upper Arlington for area young professionals:

1) Encourage younger employees of UA Chamber-member companies to get more involved in Chamber and CYP CLUB activities,
2) Increase exposure of CYP CLUB members who live and/or work outside of the Upper Arlington area to the Chamber and the city (possibly for the first time) as a community-based recruitment effort,
3) Create programs that will benefit members of both organizations solidifying the positive impact of the UA Chamber and the CYP CLUB in the local and regional communities

"This is exciting, new ground for us and at the same time maintains the connectivity to the community and unique opportunities we strive to provide for our 10,000+ members through the CYP CLUB's mission and active programming of events, athletics, and community impact," said Derek Grosso, founder & president of the CYP CLUB.

"We are very excited about our partnership with the CYP CLUB and the additional opportunities we will both gain by working together in the best interests of both organizations. By channeling our efforts we expect to recruit future chamber members through the CYP CLUB and in turn expose them to the benefits of living right here in Upper Arlington," said Becky Hajost, president of the Upper Arlington Area Chamber of Commerce. This shared partnership will provide for additional networking opportunities through various avenues of the CYP CLUB and the Chamber.

Listening to the networking needs of young professionals in Upper Arlington and the surrounding area, the chamber knows it needs to do more in growing this segment of their membership while offering young professionals additional networking avenues for professional growth and friendship. "This is a grassroots effort to offer something that combines business networking and fun social networking to opportunities to help identify with our community culture while embracing the CYP CLUB. Upper Arlington has some of the richest heritage in Ohio and networking for the younger audience in the community will be vital in establishing our presence for the future," said Brooks Padgett, Branch Manager for Guernsey Bank.

Padgett is a member of the UA Area Chamber and will be acting as a liaison between both organizations.

Partnering and supporting the mission of both organizations can make a huge difference in the community and in your career. The CYP CLUB and the UA Chamber look forward to hearing from members of both organizations as well as community members, residents, and businesses throughout the region.
