A Very CYP CLUB Round-up of 2010
We hope this holiday season has treated you well. As we look ahead to next year, it's time to take a look back at the past 12 months to see where we've come.
Since the beginning of 2010, we have...
• Increased CYP CLUB membership to more than 12,000 local YPs (just 500 shy of being the 2nd largest YPO in the United States),
• Raised more than $40,000 for charity - through CYP CLUB events alone,
• Hosted hundreds of fun events and activities for members,
• Celebrated our five-year anniversary with hundreds of friends at the LC Pavilion,
• Participated in our first-ever international volunteer project in St. Lucia (during our Carribbean cruise),
• Introduced a new, more vibrant CYP CLUB logo,
• Logged hundreds of volunteer hours through our growing Impact programs,
• Received accolades from Columbus CEO Magazine as "Best Networking Organization," "Best Charity Event for A Date 2 Remember," and "Best Community Leader (CYP CLUB President/CEO Derek Grosso)" in their annual 'Best Of' Issue,
• Hosted our first-ever Summer Sand Volleyball Tournament, the 5th annual Cornhole/Bags Tournament, and a sold-out Rock 'n' Bowl Tournament,
• Laid the plans for a new "YP Futures" program in partnership with the Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce (and other local chambers to follow) to offer even greater business opportunities and suburban connections for members (and all residents) in and around the city of Upper Arlington,
• Launched a two-tiered membership (Basic and Premium) offering more access and increased benefits for members, including the CYP CLUB REWARDS card program,
• Worked to connect our members with and assist nearly 75 local non-profit organizations and community associations,
• Hosted the 2nd annual Ohio Young Professionals Weekend (bringing together YPO presidents from across the state of Ohio) in Columbus,
• Added Flag Football, Hiking, and Tennis Clinics to our athletics programming,
• Expanded our successful Culture Series program to include more than two dozen arts organization partners and a brand new quarterly "Spotlight on the Arts" Playbill,
• Solidified exciting new partnerships/sponsorships with OSU Fisher College of Business, the Greater Columbus Arts Council, Lifestyle Communities, the Diamond Cellar, State Farm Insurance, Columbus Clippers, M/I Homes, Innova Financial Group, Park Street Complex, and many others,
• and much, much more!
Our successes are largely because of you - our members! Thank you and congratulations to you. Share some of YOUR CYP CLUB success stories of 2010 by emailing leadership@cypclub.com.
A sample of what's on tap for 2011...
• The fourth annual A DATE 2 REMEMBER, our young professional charity auction and fashion show! It's only $25 per ticket and 100% of event proceeds will be donated to charity.
• Continuation of our quarterly Member Mixers, monthly dinners, and regular Happy Hours,
• The 'return' of our social wine tasting series,
• Beer, whisky, sake, and other 'spirits' tastings,
• Some new events in addition to our current ones,
• The CYP CLUB Executive Dinner,
• Our 6-year Anniversary Bash,
• Even more athletic leagues, outings, and tournaments,
