CityPulse: New Columbus Art Walks signs to be unveiled in Discovery District
Columbus Art Walks was developed in September 2010 as part of Columbus Public Health's 'Healthy Places Program' to create built environments that encourage physical activity in every day life to help prevent obesity. The initiative features more than 80 artistic, historical and architectural sites in nine unique Columbus neighborhoods.
At 2pm on Monday, October 17th (at the corner of Gay Street and Cleveland Avenue), Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman, Council Member Priscilla Tyson, and Columbus Public Health Commissioner Dr. Teresa Long will unveil new Columbus Art Walks signs - highlighting 26 of the 80 points of interest in the Discovery District – to promote active living.
