Columbus, OH - In existence since 2005, the Columbus Young Professionals Club (CYP CLUB) has hired two new staff members to assist in enhancing the lives of Central Ohio professionals aged 21-45. Christopher Ortleib and Kris Cannon have been hired on as Business Development & Events Coordinator and Member Relations Coordinator, respectively. Both seek to help further the club’s mission of benefiting young professionals in the Central Ohio Region through personal development, networking, athletics, philanthropy, and social events.

Detroit, Michigan native Christopher Ortleib, 33, joins the CYP CLUB as of August 1st, 2011 after an eight year foray in the restaurant and bar industry. Ortleib brings a vast sales, event management and entertainment background to the table. After moving to Columbus in January 2005, he feels that the city is now home. “Columbus has such a vibrant community and so much to offer the young professionals that live, work and play here,” says Ortleib. “I feel that I am the poster child for why people should migrate here; Columbus has so much to offer and I enjoy being a part of the Central Ohio Region.”

Native Columbus resident Kris Cannon, 31, boasts a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Leadership and Human Resource Management from Franklin University. The entrepreneur started her own business, InnerGi Consulting, to help individuals with professional and personal growth. She also works as a Training Coordinator for the City of Columbus. Cannon enjoys making a difference in the lives of others and improving the community in which she lives. “I truly have a passion to help those with professional and personal development needs,” states Cannon. “I am here to be a contact for CYP CLUB members to help get them acclimated to all that their membership with the club offers.”

Both hires are the work of President/CEO & Founder Derek Grosso. “I felt that the time was right to create these two positions and enhance the membership experience at CYP CLUB,” espouses Grosso. “Enhancing the membership experience will in turn enhance the experience of our sponsors, our community, and the CYP CLUB as a whole, creating what I like to call a ‘win-win-win’ scenario that benefits all involved. I am excited to have both of them on board.”

The Columbus Young Professionals Club (CYP CLUB) is a "for-impact" membership organization made up of more than 12,000 young professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, creative thinkers, and social people who live and work in the greater Columbus region. Founded in July of 2005, the CYP CLUB offers events, athletics, and volunteer activities on a weekly basis for a very active membership of local YPs (ages 21-45). Basic Membership is FREE and Premium Membership is only $50 per year. More information about the group is available online at www.cypclub.com.
