Charity Event Spotlight: Heroes Helping Humanity




Sunday, September 11, 2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks that took nearly 3,000 lives. Join Kris Cannon, CYP CLUB Member Relations Coordinator, and Heroes Helping Humanity in paying tribute to those who fell, those who survived and those who are still fighting for our freedom.

On Sunday, September 11, 2011, the Memorial Walk starts at 9am followed by the Memorial Ceremony from 10am-12pm at Huntington Park (330 Huntington Park Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43215).

Register to walk at www.heroeshelpinghumanity.org. Memorial Ceremony entry is free with walk registration. A minimum $10 donation is suggested to attend the memorial ceremony.

Some of the special guests at the event will be Mayor Michael B. Coleman, ALL of the City Council Members & Council President Ginther will be there, Franklin County Commissioners, Northland High School marching band, Bowery Boys, Lima Company survivors & memorial wall displayed, special video tribute, and much much more!

Heroes Helping Humanity is a non-profit organization founded by Jason Thomas, most known for his heroic deeds on September 11, 2001, when his action led to the rescue of the last two survivors pulled from the World Trade Center wreckage.

Heroes for Humanity strives to improve the standard of living and quality of life for servicemen and women, veterans of the United States armed services, and America’s youth through partnerships focusing on providing goods and services to our military, and scholarships to economically challenged students.
