Here is a quick highlight of what happened at the Date 2 Remember charity event!



A Date 2 Remember is the premier social fundraising experience of the year for young professionals, the Columbus community, and local businesses. The event combines a live date auction with a fashion show - all for charity - featuring exciting, over-the-top date 'experience' packages and several unique twists.

The CYP CLUB donates 100% of event proceeds from A Date 2 Remember to two local charities every year. For 2012 we selected the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Flying Horse Farms as our charity beneficiaries.

A Date 2 Remember 2012: A Sneak Preview
Without question, many young professionals have numerous appointments and dates to keep. This month, the CYP CLUB has a very important date we hope everyone certainly keeps in their memory - our fifth annual "A Date 2 Remember" charity date auction & fashion show on Saturday, January 28th. We spoke with Heidi Tharp, one of our valued D2R committee members handling the event, for all the details.

Q: Tell us about this event. What is "A Date 2 Remember" for those who don't know?
A: "A Date 2 Remember" is a very high-energy charity fashion show and date auction that the Columbus Young Professionals Club has hosted for the past five years in downtown Columbus. The date is set for Saturday, January 28th from 7-11pm, to be held at the LC Pavilion. We are expecting nearly 1,000 attendees this year...

A Date 2 Remember is the premier social fundraising experience of the year for young professionals, the Columbus community, and local businesses. A House Away From Home
This week's CYP CLUB Charity Spotlight comes with some RED shoes to fill.

Young professionals have the chance to make a difference at the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio. The organization's mission is to "find, create and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children," says Jamie Foltz of RMHC. "We provide a home-away-from-home to families that have children being treated at our area hospitals."

The phrase "welcome to the big house" seems awfully appropriate. After all, the Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio is the second largest 'house' in the world.
