A Structure for a Successful Elevator Pitch
Written by Ryan Conway, CYP CLUB Networking Director

The key to a successful "elevator" pitch is in having an effective structure. What you have to offer is very important – so let's not lose the opportunity to successfully pitch your offering by getting lost or tongue-tied. Here are five structure tips to help assemble a winning elevator pitch.

Charity Spotlight: LeaderSpark
The world would be lost without leaders. They guide, create, inspire, teach, and so much more.

Simply put, nothing would get done without them.

One local organization is working to create such individuals: LeaderSpark.

"LeaderSpark's training is designed to enhance youth leadership skills through high quality, engaging workshops that produce strong emerging leaders," says Amber Brandimore, a LeaderSpark representative. "It utilizes a proven curriculum, practical topics, youth-driven discussions, and hands-on interactive activities."

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
As a major resource in the community, the CYP CLUB feels strongly about helping to give back to the variety of non-profit and community organizations throughout central Ohio. In addition to organizing and hosting a number of large-scale charity events every year, we want to provide ongoing opportunities for our members to volunteer regularly in the community.

Take a look at some of these upcoming volunteer activities around Columbus:

• Ohio Homecoming: 300 Deep (Day of Service Project)
• Jazz and Rib Fest
• Volunteer Work Days at Goodale Park
