About Our Speaker: Ruth Milligan, APR, has been a communicator her entire life. After earning a degree in Speech Communication from Miami University, she spent seven years in politics where the majority of her work involved writing speeches for and coaching her principles on presentation effectiveness. In her public relations and marketing consultancy over the past 12 years, Ruth has focused on media relations, strategic communications and interactive strategies.

In 2009, she co-curated the first TEDxColumbus event, reinvigorating her love of speech coaching and presentation training. With ar.tic.u.la.tion, she melds her experience and passion into a speech training approach that helps rising executives uncover their potential for becoming excellent verbal communicators.

Ruth's presentation to the CYP CLUB will illuminate the forgotten path of speaker preparation and the fundamentals needed to assure your spoken message is heard, understood and remembered.
