Join the CYP CLUB as we partner with GenWex for an outdoor party and screening of "The Talented Mr. Ripley" under the stars for free. Stop by, connect and reconnect with CYP CLUB and GenWex friends, and get the inside scoop on what’s happening this fall and beyond at the Wexner Center for the Arts.

Come early, stake out a prime blanket spot, and enjoy an ice cold beer (it's a cash bar) as we celebrate an evening of Italy's finest at GenWex Presents: Peronis on the Plaza. We'll start at 6:30pm with the tastes and smells of wood-fired pizzas, red wine, and the smooth sounds of 1970s Italian disco. At 7pm, you can either stay outside or head into the Wexner Center's theater for a screening of Vittorio De Sica's neorealist classic Umberto D.

The party keeps going until the sun fades for our outdoor screening of "The Talented Mr. Ripley."

Choose your spot on the Wexner Center Plaza (bring blankets or lawn chairs) and mingle with other film fans. You can also enjoy snacks and choose your favorite beverage from the cash bar. The party gets going at 8pm. The film screening will begin at dusk, which is about 9pm. (In the event of rain, all outdoor events will be rescheduled for the following evening.)

Proceeds from Gen Wex events benefit Wexner Center education programs. The evening is co-sponsored by Gen Wex and the CYP CLUB.

About this Wex Drive-In: Nominated for five Academy Awards "The Talented Mr. Ripley" was filmed against the backdrop of landmarks in Venice and Rome. Matt Damon stars as Tom Ripley, a young man hired to travel to Italy and retrieve a wealthy man's rambling son, Dickie Greenleaf, played by Jude Law. This simple task is quickly complicated as Ripley's interactions with Greenleaf and his friends fuel a growing resentment among them. When Ripley commits an unpardonable crime, the ensuing chain of events forces him into a tangled world of identity theft and murder. The stellar cast also includes Gwyneth Paltrow, Cate Blanchett, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Based on a 1955 novel by Patricia Highsmith (Strangers on a Train). (139 mins., 35mm)

In the event of rain, the Wex Drive-In will be postponed til the next day (Friday). If it's still raining, the film will screen in the Film/Video Theater at 9pm (without accompanying refreshments).
