Volunteer with the CYP CLUB for the Jazz & Rib Fest 2010

The CYP CLUB has again been asked to be a part of the Jazz & Rib Fest (July 23-25, 2010), the Columbus summertime tradition along the Downtown Columbus Riverfront.

We have several opportunities for volunteers to be Rib Judge Assistants (8-10 volunteers), to help out at the VIP Hospitality area (6-9 volunteers), and as Street Team members (18-24 volunteers):

• 4-5 volunteers per day are needed to assist with rib judging on Saturday, July 24 and Sunday, July 25 from Noon – 4:00 p.m. Volunteers will be in charge of serving the ribs to the judges, making sure the judges have drinks, napkins, and whatever they need in order to properly judge the ribs.

• 2-3 volunteers per day to coordinate the VIP Hospitality area located in the North Bank Pavilion during two shifts on Friday and Saturday, July 23 & 24 from 4 – 7 p.m., and 7 – 10:30 p.m., and on Sunday, July 25 from 4 – 8:30 p.m. Responsibilities would include set-up and tear-down of area and bar-tending. Additionally, volunteers will be engaging our sponsors and VIPs by greeting them and making sure they are being taken care of.

• Street team volunteers in groups of 3-4 per shift on Friday & Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., and 6 – 10 p.m., as well as Sunday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., 1:30 – 5 p.m. and 4:30 – 8 p.m. Responsibilities would include taking candid pictures, program distribution and crowd interaction.

All volunteers (who register prior to July 10th) will receive a Jazz & Rib Fest t-shirt and VIP parking passes for the festival, which is expected to draw more than 300,000 over the weekend!
