CYP CLUB Speaker Breakfast with Pawan Murthy: "How Paying It Forward Pays You Back"

Establish new business connections and get to know other young professionals in a casual, career-focused setting at the monthly CYP CLUB Speaker Breakfast. Everyone will have the opportunity to introduce themselves and what they do, and also listen to a local guest speaker offer information and advice on business, careers, and other topics.

The event includes breakfast bagels, pastries, and coffee. The cost is $5 (if you pay online) or $10 (at the door) for CYP CLUB members and guests. Be sure to attend and bring plenty of business cards.

About Our Speaker: Pawan Murthy is an author, entrepreneur, public speaker and online marketing professional. In 2001, he founded Stellarwind, LLC, a firm dedicated to bridging the gap between the technical and marketing worlds. In addition to working with over 60 tech startups, Stellarwind has helped larger companies such as Nationwide Insurance, LensCrafters, and Novartis.

From 2003 to 2006, Mr. Murthy was Director of Marketing at Swapalease.com, the world's largest auto lease marketplace. With his skills in usability, Internet marketing, and design, Mr. Murthy helped better convey Swapalease's process and value proposition, and helped triple revenue in the company within one year.

Currently, Mr. Murthy is at BMW Financial Services - in charge of www.up2drive.com - a leading online auto financing site for all makes and models. He is also head of marketing for Alphera Financial Services - financing all makes and models in over 760 dealership nationwide. Alphera was awarded #1 auto financing company by J.D. Powers in 2010. Combined, both companies manage nearly $2 billion in assets.

In 2009, Mr. Murthy published his first book, "Race to the Starting Line: Succeed In College by Leaving Grades Behind." The book stresses the importance of networking, attitude and work experience as a path to success in addition to grades.
