About Valerie
I moved to Columbus to work with the Columbus Blue Jackets NHL team in 2005 and did that for about 2 years. I followed that up with a sales position at a company that creates websites for school districts and scouting software for high schools. Now I work in customer service for Verizon Wireless.

Community Involvement and Interests
Volleyball, Basketball, watching sports on TV and going to games. Also going out with friends.

What do you hope members get out of their involvement in the CYP CLUB?
The ability to network and meet other young professionals in the area. I also think that the CYP CLUB offers events that members can enjoy.

Why did you join the CYP CLUB?
Being new to the Columbus area I joined the CYP CLUB to meet new people, make friends, and network with others. And to get involved with the community and participate on various athletic teams.

What's your favorite CYP CLUB event and why?
There is no "best" event, but if I had to pick one it would have to be the member mixers that I have been to so far (Old School Beer Night, Martini Park, etc). I also enjoy CYP CLUB Volleyball at Flannagan's in the summer.

How would you describe Columbus?
Columbus is a growing city that offers a multitude of great events and a variety of things to do in the Short North, German Village, and Arena District. Also, Downtown is a great place to go out and have fun with friends.
