Leadership - Melissa DeGraw Metz

About Melissa
After graduating from Ohio State I worked for the Columbus Blue Jackets as their Premium Seats Manager for five years. Once the hockey strike occurred I moved to Oregon for two years to travel and see a different part of the country. While Oregon was a great adventure, Columbus is my home and I moved back and started work with Experience Columbus. Now it is my job to promote this great city and all it has to offer!
Community Involvement and Interests
I serve on the board for The Grandview Hop, the committee for the Taste of Grandview and the committee for the Tour de Grandview.
What does Columbus offer young professionals?
Columbus is a melting pot of so many different cultures and people. Blend that together together with the fact that Columbus is an emerging city with so many great neighborhoods and you have one really fabulous place to live and work.
What do you hope members get out of their involvement in the CYP CLUB?
A good sense of community and connection with other young professionals. No matter what you like to do, there is a event that you can connect to and meet some great people at the same time.
What's your favorite CYP CLUB event and why?
I love the photo scavenger hunt! I think it is a great way for people to see unique things our great city has to offer.
How would you describe Columbus?
A big city that has a neighborhood feel to it.
