About Walter
My upbringing came from an odd mix of Southern momma and Northern dad; as it turns out, somewhere near the Mason-Dixon lies a very strange sense of humor, a love of sci-fi, a few old Cary Grant movies and probably some buttered grits. As a result, my whole life has been spent pursuing sometimes wildly eclectic and varied hobbies tastes and adventures. I've walked a length of the Great Wall, seen Machu Picchu, and been to Germany enough to have a surrogate family that differs only somewhat from my real one. The past 12+ years of my life have been mainly spent following my lifelong dream of flying airplanes for a living. As a result I've seen a lot of sunrises over the East Coast, spent more hours in some days flying than on the ground and been all over the US, including the farthest north point in the country. During my many travels as a career pilot, I became intrigued by the technical and artistic outlet that is photography. Over the past several years, this one-time hobby has become a professional pursuit with my small business venture: Walter Judy Photography. I hope to keep flying and stay current with the aviation industry, but find that I have an equal passion working with people from behind the lens as I have from behind the yoke of a jet. I am a firm believer that life is a journey; and that, done right, it involves a lot of stamps on your passport!

Community Involvement and Interests
Event Photographer for the Columbus Young Professionals Club, Member of Women in Aviation International (they let men in too), avid reader, hiker and cyclist. Unashamed of my love of video games.

What does Columbus offer young professionals?
Columbus is the biggest small town in Ohio. As a young professional, there are only ever a few degrees of separation between people making networking that much simpler. Plus, there are a lot of great restaurants and bars, and some of the best Metro Parks in the nation!

What do you hope members get out of their involvement in the CYP CLUB?
I hope members can enjoy the company of other young professionals in an easy-going, fun atmosphere. Finding friends can be a challenge once you are out of school; the CYP CLUB offers a chance to make new connections AND get to do fun activities while giving back to the community at the same time.

What's your favorite CYP CLUB event and why?
As a consummate extrovert, I love both the big parties and smaller events equally.

How would you describe Columbus?
Big town dining, small town prices.
