About Liz
I simply have a passion for life and experiencing new things, people, and places. I have a rather eclectic taste in music, food, and events that I like to attend. I really enjoy the arts. I spend the majority of my time (when not working) playing and laughing with my daughter.
I also do a lot of "zumba" and I love to travel and learn about new cultures. My friends and family would probably describe me as a caring, fun-loving, responsible person. I am an eternal optimist and hope that more people decide to join my revolution. CYP CLUB is so rewarding and I have built many strong friendships that I know will last for quite some time.
Community Involvement and Interests
I am a member of Friends of the Columbus Zoo & Aquarium, was a Big Sister with Big Brothers/Big Sisters until recently, lead service projects for my small group from the Vineyard, and do Children's Ministry there. I am a member of various state and national counseling and school counseling organizations, and am on the planning committee for "Wellfest," a community event to celebrate creativity and artistic talents while decreasing stigma about mentally ill persons.
What do you hope members get out of their involvement in the CYP CLUB?
I hope that members meet as many good friends as I have from joining the CYP CLUB. I also hope that they experience a variety of events, including networking, social, culture, philanthropy, and athletics. The club has so much to offer!
What's your favorite CYP CLUB event and why?
I love a Date 2 Remember and dance lessons, however, I would have to say that the 7-day cruise to the Caribbean takes the cake! What a wonderful experience with some great people.
How would you describe Columbus?
I would describe Columbus as a city filled with pride that is moving forward in an innovative way into the future. It is a place where anyone can find their opportunity to get closely involved with something that they love.
