October Networker of the Month: Tara Grove

Tara Grove graduated college in 2009 from Ohio Northern University (Go Polar Bears!) and has been working full time in Columbus ever since. She enjoys trying new things, playing sports, networking and keeping busy. If you have any questions, feel free to ask... she feels she is an open book!

What I do: I help facilitate marketing initiatives for Brandon Smith in my office. Brandon works in the areas of financial management. We do everything from insurance to retirement planning for individuals and families to employee benefits and retirement plans for small businesses.

When I am not working...
I like playing sports, watching sports (Go BUCKEYES!), attending concerts, watching movies, trying new things and hanging out with my friends and family. I'm always doing something!

If I won the lottery I would...
save a lot of it, make sure that my closest friends and family are taken care of and then put a little bit of it aside to travel and do random things.

My favorite place in Columbus is...
This is tough! I love going to the arena district, Polaris area, Nationwide arena and many different restaurants in and around Columbus.

My favorite CYP CLUB activity is...
I can't say enough good things about this club! I honestly like them all. I have been in 2 volleyball leagues, a softball league and 2 bowling leagues with the CYP CLUB. I've done the cultural events which are absolutely amazing and I regularly attend the morning breakfast speakers which are very informative. You can find me at a lot of the events, because I love to learn and experience new things.

Another CYP CLUB member you should get to know is...
Kris Cannon. She has become a great friend of mine and I probably would have never met her if it hadn't been for CYP CLUB. She is extremely passionate for what she does and is a knowledgeable professional in the HR field. You will see her at a lot of events, because she is an ambassador for the CYP CLUB. Introduce yourself to her; you won't regret it!
