1. St. Patrick’s Day Columbus
It’s that time of year again to don some green duds & drink up! The city will be scattered with a plethora of St. Patrick’s Day parties this weekend for those ready to celebrate. Have some authentic fun in Irish neighborhood, Dublin at the annual Blarney Bash, take a Pub Crawl through the Short North, watch the Shamrock Club Parade Downtown, or party with drinks and music at the best local Irish bars like Fado, Claddagh, Flannagan’s, and many more. Check your neighborhood listings for more ways to kick off the holiday; the Paddy’s Day possibilities are endless!

2. Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey
Alas, the end of hockey season is already in sight, with only a few weeks left to catch our beloved NHL team, the Columbus Blue Jackets on ice at the Nationwide Arena before the warm weather rolls in. Catch one of the last home games of the season this Thursday evening (3/16), where our boys in blue will be facing the Florida Panthers.

3. Drexel’s 30th Annual 24-Hour Sci-Fi Marathon
Film geeks will unite at the Drexel Theatre this weekend as the cinema hosts the 30th Anniversary edition of its infamous 24 Hour Science Fiction Marathon. Beginning Saturday at noon and running overnight through Sunday (3/18-3/19), the marathon will screen over 10 different sci-fi films, with everything from animation & foreign cult to classic Cronenberg & David Lynch. The event will also include screenings of vintage trailers and shorts, a costume contest, and more.

4. Butterflies, Fairies, and Fine Art at the Conservatory
Warm up your winter blues and surround yourself in a tropical paradise at the Franklin Park Conservatory with several new seasonal attractions, all which debuted last weekend. The annual favorite Blooms & Butterflies exhibit has returned to the Pacific Island Water Garden, where guests can walk amongst hundreds of free-flying flutterers while feasting their eyes on a vast collection of exotic plants and flowers from a variety of habitats. While spring is in blossom, guests can also stroll through the all-new Fairy Gardens and explore the Open Door Art Studio & Gallery displaying over 70 different floral-themed original art pieces. If you’re looking for an escape this weekend, the Conservatory truly is a wonderland for the senses.

5. Pixar in Concert
Feel some sweet nostalgia over the sounds of a full orchestra this Saturday evening (3/18) as The Columbus Symphony hosts Pixar in Concert, a multi-media show for audiences of all ages. Held at the historical Ohio Theatre, the performance will feature live symphony music paired with a presentation of memorable film clips from all 14 of Disney Pixar’s films including favorites like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. and more. Watch and listen as the iconic musical scores from the movies you’ve always adored come to life.
