Check out some of the best events going on in Columbus this weekend! (May 18-21, 2017):

1. Cirque du Soleil: Ovo
One of Cirque du Soleil’s latest touring shows, the insect-themed Ovo, is making its Columbus stop this weekend (thru 5/21) at the Schottenstein Center in a burst of color. Talented performers from around the globe bring the high energy playfulness of the bug world to the stage in this visually-stunning show, which is packed with gravity-defying acrobatics & stunts, elaborate costumes, and beautiful stage scenery. Viewers are sure to catch a thrill, a few laughs, and a total feast for the eyes.

2. The Benefit
Celebrate music, dance, and food this Sunday night (5/21) for a good cause as the Davidson Theatre downtown welcomes The Benefit to its stage. This eclectic evening of arts & entertainment will include performances by a variety of acts including vocalists & musicians, a 24-member orchestra, COSI's Chief Scientist, plus dancers from Miami City Ballet, Milwaukee, Rochester, Cincinnati and BalletMet. The event will also include an after-show reception with silent auction, drinks, and food from local restaurants. Proceeds will benefit the Central Ohio Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation.

3. Six One Pour: The Ohio Craft Beer Fest
This week, the city has been flooded with boozy events throughout community in honor of the official Columbus Craft Beer. The celebration will go out with a bang this weekend, concluding the fun with Six One Pour: The Ohio Craft Beer Fest on Saturday (5/20) at Columbus Clippers home stadium Huntington Park. The bash will include beer from nearly 60 Ohio breweries, plus a special collaborative grog created just for the event. Guest can also expect live music and food from ballpark vendors.

4. Gay Street Sunlight Market
Every month, the Gay Street District of Downtown becomes a bustling outdoor gathering of local vendors and shoppers at the Daylight Market, which will return this Sunday morning (5/21). Expect to find limited-time deals and specials at the brick-and-mortar shops and eateries in the area, as well as over 50 pop-up sidewalk vendors peddling a wide variety of artisan goodies from edibles to arts & crafts. There will also be street performers and live music to provide ambiance and entertainment.

5. Rock on the Range
Thousands of head-bangers will converge at Mapfre Stadium this weekend for this year’s Rock on the Range, one of the biggest music festivals of the season. This year, the two-day concert will feature 60 different bands and some of the biggest names it’s had yet, with headliners including Metallica, Primus, and Korn, plus a variety of acts like Sum 41, Coheed & Cambria, and Taking Back Sunday, sure to evoke nostalgia in any ex-emo kid. Although this massive musical event is officially sold-out, many tickets are still available online through StubHub. Expect some awesome tunes and amazing people-watching.
