Top 5 Events for YPs this Weekend

Written by Mariah West

Check out some of the best events going on in Columbus this weekend! (June 1-4, 2017):

1. Festivities at the North Market
Foodie favorite, the North Market will be bringing back one of their most beloved summer events this Sunday (6/4) with the Peddler’s Picnic, which will run weekly through October. This outdoor market will feature a variety of vendors selling handmade goods like jewelry, edibles, candles, and more. Later into the evening, the Market will also be hosting Jeni’s Ice Cream’s picnic-style Strawberry Jam, a celebration that will include live music, beer & wine, and plenty of food & ice cream. Guests can feel free to explore inside the space for even more authentic food & shopping from over 30 resident vendors.

COSI will be hosting their annual adults-only event After Dark this Thursday evening (6/1), this time with the theme of Art. Guests to this bash can explore a variety of themed attractions like hands-on art & science mashup activities, meet-and-greets with video game designers, live dance performances, and more. The event will also offer small plate foods and a cash bar, plus a special collaborative Four String beer created just for the evening! The first weekend of the month means another edition of one of the city’s best traditions, the Short North Gallery Hop (6/3). At this open neighborhood event, visitors can dine, drink, and check out local artwork while wandering under the Short North arches, “hopping” amongst the many unique local shops, eateries, and art galleries that line High Street. There’s also plenty of live music & entertainment at certain stops, street performers, and some excellent people-watching within the funky crowd drawn by the Hop. Spend your Saturday night (5/6) at this event to experience some of Columbus’ best arts and culture.
