CYP Club Cares is hosting a unique group volunteer activity to work on the Franklinton Gardens for a few hours planting crops, weeding/mulching, getting our hands a little dirty, and more.

As part of this effort, volunteers should dress for appropriate outdoor work to assist with:
• Pulling weeds
• Mulching
• Turning soil
• Building fences
• Harvesting produce
• Other miscellaneous farm tasks

Please make sure you are definitely able to attend before registering as we have limited volunteer spots available for this event.

This volunteer activity will be led by CYP Club Cares board member Brent Cogar.

Volunteer notes:
• Parking is free and on-site.
• Volunteers need to bring their own water.
• Volunteers should wear closed toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty.
• Volunteers will be outside the entire time so please dress appropriately.

More about the charity: Franklinton Gardens is a nonprofit urban farm located in a low-income area on the west side of Columbus, Ohio. Since 2007, we operate a network of food production sites, manage a neighborhood food distribution system, and host various educational programs and community events.
