CYP Club Cares (our service board) is hosting a group volunteer activity on Saturday, October 6 to plant 122 trees with FLOW (Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed) for Columbus City Schools.

FLOW depends on volunteers. Rapid improvements to the quality of the watershed in the past decade are a testament to the commitment of individuals who wanted to make a difference.

What to Expect: Volunteers will be helping to plant balled and burlapped trees. Volunteers will also be helping to pound tree stakes and spread mulch. FLOW will provide shovels, gloves and all the other tools. Water and snacks will be provided. Afterwards we will grab lunch together as a group.

Meet at 8:45am at Hamilton STEM Elementary School at 2047 Hamilton Ave. Then we will move to Maize Elementary School at 4360 Maize Rd.

Who to Look For: This volunteer activity will be led by CYP Club Cares board member Tiffany Priest.

What to Wear: Comfortable, casual clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Please wear closed toed shoes as well.

Where to Park: Free parking is available in the school parking lot.

Please make sure you are definitely able to attend before registering so we can maintain an accurate head count.

Contact us if you have any questions about this event.
