Now in its ninth year, the Columbus Emerging Leaders Summit is a one-day leadership conference that brings together passionate, smart, and engaged young professionals from across Central Ohio to connect and grow while learning from local speakers and thought-leaders.

This year’s summit will be hosted at Franklin University's Ross Auditorium in downtown Columbus on Friday, October 11, 2019. The full-day event will run 8:00am-4:00pm. Here is our agenda:

8:00am - Arrival, Morning Connections, and Breakfast & Coffee powered by Barry Bagels

9:00am - Welcome

9:15am - Emerging Innovators: A Superstar Panel
To kick off the summit, we will host a panel interview of innovators and newsmakers in Central Ohio. How did they make it in Columbus? What role did/do mentors play in their lives? What is the secret to their success? What are their tips for fellow emerging leaders?

10:25am-11:25am - Emerging Leadership in Real Time
We will present four back-to-back speakers each with a relevant message in order of age to showcase a real-time progression. Speeches will last for 10 minutes each and will showcase stories of accomplishments and learning for leaders in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s:

• 10:25-10:35am: Colin McGinnis, 24, CEO at South Side Early Learning
• 10:40-10:50am: Maylin Sambois Sanchez, 37, Co-Founder of Femergy
• 11:00-11:10am: Tasha Booker Fowler, 40, Executive Director at City Year Columbus
• 11:15-11:25am: Sindy Mondesir, Chief People Officer at COTA

11:30am - Lunch powered by Chipotle
Lunch will be available from 11:30am-1:00pm.

1:00pm – Afternoon Networking Activity: Networking BINGO
After lunch we will host an interactive networking activity for attendees to make connections and win prizes.

1:30pm – Millennial Mentoring Access Sessions
For our afternoon sessions, attendees will have the chance to meet and learn from local executives/C-suiters, during a rotating mentor access session. Topics of conversation will include: "Finding Mentors," "Getting a Seat at the Table," "Executive Presence," "Diversity & Inclusion," and "Community Involvement."

3:45pm - Closing Remarks & Dismissal

COST TO ATTEND: An "early bird" summit pass is $39. On September 1st the price will increase to $49 and on October 1st it will increase to $68. Tickets include a full day of speakers & presentations, mentoring & networking, breakfast, coffee, lunch, an event tote bag, and free parking all day. Water, coffee, tea, and snacks will also be available throughout the duration of the summit.
