Join us on Wednesday, July 29th & Thursday, July 30th for a 2-day virtual event! Back for its second year, the CYP Club is proud to present the Women of Inspiration Summit & Expo (WISE) powered by Branch Insurance, with support from Barnes & Thornburg, Columbus CEO, Huntington Bank, Worthington Jewelers, U.S. Bank and HRACO.

WISE 2020 will welcome a diverse group of women for an uplifting and inspirational experience for attendees to connect and grow while hearing from outstanding speakers and thought-leaders. The two-day online event will run from 9:00am-12:15pm each day, including spectacular speakers, compelling workshops, inspirational interviews, meditation sessions, and more. In addition, we will be honoring two outstanding Women of Inspiration for 2020: Congresswoman Joyce Beatty (with opening remarks on Day 1) and Trudy Bartley (with an inspirational interview on Day 2).

A two-day summit pass is $20. One-day passes are $15 for Wednesday and $15 for Thursday.

• 10:30am: "The Power of Your Breath: A Meditation Practice" (Breakout Room)
Utilizing the breath is one of the most fundamental meditation practices. It is simple, accessible, and effective. Learn techniques to help calm the body and mind, and establish a meditation practice that will last. This session will be led by Jen Piela Timmons, Owner of Dalai Mama Yoga.

• 10:55am: "Small But Mighty I: Concrete Steps Everybody Can Take to Constructively Challenge Uninclusive Behaviors" (Main Room)
Leadership is important to driving inclusion and diversity, but everybody can take little steps to improve their workplace and other group cultures. This session focuses on constructive ways to challenge behaviors that hold us back on the journey to greater inclusion, whether they are intentional or inadvertent. We will particularly discuss meeting behavior and observed inappropriate and harassing workplace conduct. This session will be led by Bill Nolan, Office Managing Partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, and Kelly Atkinson, Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator at Barnes & Thornburg LLP.

Continuing our focus from our companion first session (though it is not necessary to attend Small But Mighty I to fully engage in this session) on little steps everybody can take to improve their workplace and other group cultures, we will discuss honing your powers of observation about interactions and environments that leave others feeling excluded, and steps to improve inclusion around you, one person at a time. This session will be led by Bill Nolan, Office Managing Partner at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, and Kelly Atkinson, Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator at Barnes & Thornburg LLP.

One of the biggest challenges for leaders today is effectively engaging teams so that employees can manage change, innovate, and remain flexible. Keeping employees engaged, positive, and focused has a great deal to do with the day-to-day actions and reactions of leadership. ImprovEdge will guide participants through an interactive session on the use of improvisational behaviors as effective leadership tools for employees, teams, and organizations in a virtual world. Improvisers manage risk, constant change, and uncertainty, and can take advantage of the unexpected. This session will be led by Karen Hough, Founder & CEO at ImprovEdge.

We'll discuss the four things that wreak havoc in our lives and cause problems, and how to overcome them. If you feel like you're constantly trying to please others, or worrying that you should be more productive, this is for you. We'll work through how we've been holding ourselves back so you can get out of your own way. This session will be led by Liesl Drought, Life & Career Coach at Liesl Coaching.
