CYP Club is supporting Netcare Access in recruiting volunteers for their first-ever Smash the Stigma Pickleball Open! It's a day dedicated to raising awareness, building community, and expanding access to mental health and addiction services.
There are two shifts: 7 AM–Noon (10–15 volunteers) and 11 AM–4 PM (6–10 volunteers). Volunteers will help with check-in, event logistics, welcoming attendees, and supporting the tournament.
If you’re familiar with the rules of pickleball, you can help lead the free beginner’s clinics from 9 AM to 11 AM. While some club players have offered to assist, they also plan to participate in the tournament, so we need a few more hands to make this part of the day smooth and engaging.
What to wear: Wear comfortable clothing.
Who to look for: This volunteer effort will be led by our friends at Netcare Access
About the cause: Netcare Access is a lifeline for thousands of individuals and families across Central Ohio navigating mental health and substance use crises. Each year, Netcare provides care and support to more than 17,000 people through our community-based and residential programs. We also handle over 200,000 calls, texts, and chats through 988, our local crisis line, and the homeless hotline, providing immediate help and hope when it’s needed most.
