Crash Course Columbus offers new residents a fresh and entertaining look at our community while unlocking connections across the city. Over five weeks (Wednesdays from 6-8pm, February 28 through March 27, 2024), participants meet with other young professionals and local movers-and-shakers at a series of after-work programs, group tours, and networking “field trips” to discover many of the wonderful resources the city has to offer! The curriculum is structured to introduce newbies to Columbus and offer opportunities to keep them engaged in a number of ways.

Programming Overview for Class of 2024:

• Class 1: Wednesday, February 28, 2024 • 6-8pm - Program Onboarding, Class Introductions, Tour of the Kelton House Museum & Gardens

• Class 2: Wednesday, March 6, 2024 • 6-8pm - Walking Tour of Downtown Columbus landmarks, parks & theaters, starting at Columbus City Hall

• Class 3: Wednesday, March 13, 2024 • 6-8pm - Getting Involved & Giving Back (networking with nonprofit leaders and fellow do-gooders)

• Class 4: Wednesday, March 20, 2024 • 6-8pm - Community Connections (an evening with local business leaders + speed networking)

• Class 5: Wednesday, March 27, 2024 • 6-8pm - Graduation Dinner in Grandview, featuring insights from classmates + completion certificates

• BONUS: Thursday, March 28, 2024 • 6-9pm - Complimentary ticket to attend A Taste of Columbus Celebration 2024!

*All classes will occur on Wednesdays from 6-8pm beginning on Feb. 28, 2024, unless otherwise noted. Locations will be shared with enrolled participants. In the case of inclement weather for any of these classes, announcements will be made through email and via our class Slack channel.

Who Should Enroll:

• Anyone who has recently moved to Columbus (or the greater Columbus region)

• Anyone who has lived in Columbus for 3 years or less

• Anyone whose employer recently relocated them to central Ohio

• Anyone who wants to get to know Columbus better

While this program is catered towards young professionals who have lived in Columbus less than 3 years, the resources and networking offered by this program provide opportunities for anyone. *If you have lived in Columbus longer than 3 years and would still like to participate in this program, please contact us.

Program Pricing:

It’s only $99 per person to enroll. Pricing includes all program costs, tours, staffing, meals during classes #1 and #5, snacks & refreshments during weeks #2-4, a BONUS event ticket for you and a guest to attend “A Taste of Columbus 2024” (during week #5), and all resources provided during the five weeks. Tuition can be paid by the individual or by an employer. Scholarship opportunities are available on a case-by-case basis.
